BENEFIT PROGRAM
Days Off and Leave
Days off
Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, New Year holiday period, and summer break (Sunday is the legally stipulated holiday). However, certain holidays and days off may be taken on alternate dates.
Annual paid leave
A set number of annual paid leave days are provided to each employee based on number of years worked. Paid leave may be taken in half-day and hourly increments. In order to encourage employee usage of paid leave and improve utilization rates, we operate a planned paid leave usage system.
Special leave
We utilize a system of certified leave and benefits (those recognized as necessary by society) which include bereavement leave, marriage leave, menstrual leave, pre- and post-childbirth leave, injury leave, job relocation leave, retirement celebrations, length-of-service leave, hospitalization leave, sick/injured child care leave, nursing care leave, volunteer leave, and more.
Commute and Housing Support
Commuting allowance
For employees who use public transportation to commute to and from work, we cover the cost of commuter passes / tickets.For employees who use a personal automobile or similar to commute to work, we cover fuel costs as calculated using a distance-based formula.
Rent payment support subsidy
For employees who are eligible according to in-house regulations and live in a designated rent payment support area, we provide a rent payment support subsidy.
Housing rental system
For employees who have difficulty commuting to the office from their current place of residence, we rent out Company-owned units to the employee in question and, in some regions, the Company covers 50 to 70 percent of the rent cost. Employees must fulfill eligibility requirements based on in-house regulations in order to utilize this system.
Medical Support
Medical checkups
In addition to regularly scheduled health checkups as prescribed by the Industrial Safety and Health Act, we offer lifestyle-related disease checkups, health screenings, subsidies to help cover influenza vaccination costs, and other measures to help employees maintain good health.
Medical leave
For employees who suffer from an injury or illness not caused by their work and are unable attend work for an extended period, our medical leave framework exempts them from work duties for a specified period so they can devote themselves fully to medical care and recuperation.
Childcare and Nursing Care
Shorter work hours for purposes of childcare
Any employee who has a child in the sixth grade of elementary school or younger, and whose application under this framework is approved, may request changes to work start/end times, shortened work hours, etc.
Sick/injured child care leave and nursing care leave
Leave is available to employees who require time to care for a child recovering from illness/injury, who must provide nursing care to a family member, etc.
Child-rearing and nursing care leave
Employees who require time to care for a young child, to provide nursing care to a family member, or similar can apply for exemption from work duties for a specified period.
Leisure Facilities and Self Development
Resort facilities and similar
Employees can enjoy visiting resorts and leisure destinations and facilities such as the Izu Highlands, Yufuin, Hakuba, Kusatsu, Echigo-Yuzawa, TOMAMU, Nagasaki, APPI, Toba and Huis Ten Bosch at discounted prices. Employees can also enjoy discount rates at Tokyu Hotels nationwide.
Rewards for certification acquisitions
In support of employee self-development efforts, we provide reward money for the successful, self-motivated acquisition of any specified certification/license by an employee after joining the Company.
Personal Asset Building
Corporate defined-contribution pension plan
Under this system, employees manage funds contributed by the Company to a pension plan. Based on the results of said fund management operations, the amount of pension received by the employee following retirement changes.
Employee stock ownership
Through this framework, employees can deduct a set amount from their monthly salary and bonuses for easy acquisition of stock from parent company Sanwa Holdings Corporation in order to build up their own personal assets.
Other Benefits
Congratulations, condolences and disasters
Employees receive a congratulatory childbirth bonus upon the birth of a child. In the event of an employee’s death, condolence money may be provided based on established provisions.
