Point of Infinity is a 21-meter-tall art installation on San Francisco’s Yerba Buena Island. The base section is made of glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) and the upper portion of stainless steel. It is the largest project ever brought to fruition by Hiroshi Sugimoto as part of his mathematical models series.

Remarks
Permanent sculpture installation created as the first work for the Treasure Island Arts Program. The piece is installed in a location offering a 360-degree panoramic view of San Francisco's bay area as a whole. The giant sundial is a mathematical model that uses shadow-cast markers to precisely indicate the meridian transit during the vernal and autumnal equinoxes within the surrounding plaza.
