BALENCIAGA GINZA
Adopting construction-project scaffolding and mesh materials as its design themes, this special-order scaffolding frame system is accompanied by a metallic facade utilizing 3D-formed expanded aluminum. In addition to the facade, SFL handled construction and installation work for signage, lighting, stainless-steel sashes, and the sash-frame stairwells surrounded by tenant staircases.
INBLOOM
Based on a "crystallized architecture" concept, SFL participated in this project through its aluminum-panel facade using triangle forms as its basic motif. The complex, polyhedral arrangement comprises various elements including flat and three-dimensional aluminum panels, flower-pattern openings and more. SFL handled everything from design through to fabrication and installation of the facade using building information modeling (BIM) technology.
New Nakano City Hall Building
We installed 48 solar panels over a roughly one-and-a-half month period on the south-facing facade. Together, these serve as an important element in the new building's goal of realizing improved energy savings.
Morinaga Shibaura Building
We were in charge of the large louver-like grid elements on the building's exterior. The design required extremely high construction and installation precision, which we achieved through thoroughgoing quality management.

Technology

Stainless-Steel Facades
Through full cooperation with Sanwa Tajima, one of Japan's leading companies in the field of stainless-steel construction fittings, and various other partner companies in our corporate network, SFL designs and builds everything from storefronts and large stainless panels to precision stainless-steel exteriors using specially prepared panel materials. We ensure seamless appearances free from prominent substrates and joints to foster more elegant building exteriors. Compared with standard steel, stainless steel's high rust resistance means beautiful facade appearances can be preserved for many years as long as proper maintenance is carried out.
Aluminum Facades
Aluminum, being lighter in weight and having excellent workability compared to steel or stainless steel, is widely used as a finishing material in various shapes. Aluminum louvers and aluminum castings are newly fabricated from molds, so we also assist in the development of original patterns. Expanded metal is created by cutting and stretching aluminum sheets, allowing for the creation of screens with relatively lightweight materials. When combined with powder coating, it enhances both design aesthetics and weather resistance.
Metal Fabrics
Metal fabrics are materials made by interweaving metallic fibers in mesh- or net-like fashion. They are used in screens and other elements seen in both exterior and interior building designs. The advantages of metal fabrics include light weight, robustness, adaptability to deformation, good ventilation, and lighting/shading effects. A vast array of different designs are possible, and amounts of light transmission and reflection can be controlled to impart unique shadow and lighting effects in architectural designs. Products from European manufacturers can also be imported, but please consult with us with more time allowance for delivery compared to domestic products regarding lead time.
